your luggage, you will be met in the Arrivals Hall by a
representative, who will assist you with your luggage, and then show
you to the light aircraft for your charter flight to Kwara Camp.
This flight will take around 30 minutes, and provides spectacular
views of the Okavango Delta.
Arrive at Kwara Camp airstrip, where you will be met by a
representative of the lodge, and driven the 10 minutes to the Camp.
The eight luxury safari-style tents are built on raised decks, within
a grove of huge and ancient African Ebony trees. Resident hippos will
generally serenade you year round from the water on the floodplain in
front of the camp. Each tent has its own viewing deck, private
en-suite facilities including hot and cold running showers, flush
toilets and modern amenities.
The forested island on which the camp sits is typical of those
encountered throughout the vast 1.6 million hectares of the Okavango
Delta.
Lunch will be served after your arrival, followed by an afternoon
activity and dinner.
Day 2 Kwando Safari.
Due to the specific location of the camp, Kwara is able to offer,
power boating, mekoro (dug out canoe) trips, walks and game drives –
all year round. In addition Kwara is in a large private concession
enabling the game drives to operate both off road and at night. The
presence of permanent water ensures year round game viewing and also
allows mekoro trips in shallow water throughout the year. Kwara has a
double-deck pontoon boat which allows guests to get very close to
birds and animals for up-close photography and game viewing.
Well-trained, armed guides will also conduct game walks through the
islands of the Delta and transfer their knowledge to their guests.
Fishing at Kwara is also superb and the famed Tiger Fish, as well as
Bream, Catfish and Pike are frequent catches. Kwara subscribes to the
catch and release policy.
The area is home to an astounding array of animal and bird life,
including Lion, Hyena, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog. There are good
populations of Elephant, Buffalo and Zebra and over 300 species of
birds. Antelope species are prolific with good populations of the rare
sable antelope. Trips to the wondrous Godikwe Lagoon - one of the
largest breeding colonies on Botswana, are an absolute must. In season
(from September to December), you will see thousands of birds and
their young in their annual nesting grounds with amazing interactions.
It is here that guests will most appreciate the double-deck boat as
they are able to peer into the birds' nests from above.
Day 3 Kwando Safari.
After an early morning activity and breakfast, Moremi Air will collect
you from Kwara Camp airstrip, and transfer you to Lagoon Camp,
situated around 40 minutes away, in the beautiful Linyanti Region of
Botswana.

minutes to the lodge.

which to sip a coffee or enjoy a nightcap. There's a swimming
pool at Lagoon Camp too.
Day 5 Kwando
Safari.
After an early breakfast at Lagoon Camp, you will be driven to Lebala
Camp, a slow game drive away, taking around one hour and forty-five
minutes.
Lebala means wide open spaces in Setswana and the scenery here is
dominated by vast plains with scattered palms and tree clumps backed
by wooded savannas. This wild expanse is contrasted with the casual
elegance and luxury of the camp itself. Lebala Camp fronts onto
the Linyanti Wetlands. Open grasslands scattered with Illala Palms
stretch to the south and west of Lebala. The perennial and southerly
flowing Kwando river disappears into the vast marshes before emerging
as the Linyanti river, flowing in a north easterly direction.
The eight spacious tents are unique and were designed specifically for
this camp. Each one is built on a raised teak deck, laid out
with maximum comfort and privacy in mind. The tents have an entrance
foyer with a reading and writing area, en-suite bathrooms with
Victorian clawfoot bathtubs, washbasins and flush toilets. The
bathrooms lead out to a reed enclosed open-air shower with hot and
cold running water.
Each secluded tent has its own sun deck, and is set back among the
trees. The endless vistas from the large windows and decks across the
vast plains, make Lebala one of the finest wilderness camps in Africa.

of wildlife with excellent sightings of elephant, hippo, lechwe,
zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, kudu, tsessebe, roan, sable,
